Tour 1:

Tartous - A Journey Through History

Day 1

1. Departure from Damascus 06:00 AM

Start your day early as we depart from Damascus at 6:00 AM for a full day of exploration. Sit back and relax as we begin our scenic drive.


2. Rest Stop – 7:30 AM

We make our first stop for a short break along the way. grab a quick snack, and get ready for the next phase of our journey.


3. Crac des Chevaliers  – 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM

Our first major stop is the Crac des Chevaliers, one of the most impressive medieval castles in the world. Marvel at its well-preserved fortifications and panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Spend an hour exploring this UNESCO World Heritage site.


4. Mount Sayeh  – 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM

The next stop is Mount Sayeh (translated as "Tourist Mountain"). Its height is about 1,000 metres above sea level. The top of the mountain has religious significance as it has been a refuge for travelling monks since ancient times.


5. St. George’s Monastery  – 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM

A short drive takes us to St. George’s Monastery, a serene and historical site, where you can learn about its Christian heritage and explore the stunning views of the valley below.


6. Lunch at Sultan Restaurant – 12:45 PM to 3:00 PM

We will then stop for lunch at the renowned Sultan Restaurant, known for its traditional Syrian cuisine. You also have the option to visit the Monastery of Al-Tijay, located nearby.


7. Mshatta Al-Hillou  – 3:15 PM to 5:30 PM

Continue your journey to Mshatta Al-Hillou, where you can enjoy the stunning Panorama views and the Saydeh Mountain , translated as the "Virgin Mary Mountain," has a volcanic origin and is millions of years old. It is a popular destination for local People during holidays, events, and religious celebrations.


8. Arrival at Qadmous / Samihique – 5:45 PM

We reach Qadmous town, which is characterized by its charming mountains covered with oak, pine, and cedar forests. Here you can experience the thrilling Zipline.

At night, you'll enjoy an overnight stay in one of our beautiful and cosy cottages ( see pictures below).

Day 2:

Breakfast 07:00 -08:30

1. Mount Mawla Hassan – 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM

After a restful night, we head to Mount Mawla Hassan for a morning visit, which is known for the manufacture of ships that were used by the Phoenicians to transport their goods to the ends of the world. It is also one of the most beautiful parks in Syria.


2. Cave Castle – 9:45 AM to 11:30 AM

Visit the Cave Castle, a unique archaeological site that offers a glimpse into ancient history. The fascinating caves and fortress are perfect for history enthusiasts.


3. Lunch – 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM

Savor traditional dishes at a Restaurant in Surani River, a perfect spot to indulge in local Syrian cuisine while soaking in the beautiful surroundings.


4. Visit Tartous and Arwad Island – 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Next, visit Tartus, a Phoenician city on the Mediterranean Sea. Explore the Corniche and take a short boat trip to Arwad, an ancient inhabited island that was once a Phoenician kingdom. The island has a Crusader castle, an Islamic citadel, a tower and the remains of a massive wall.


5. Departure back to Damascus – 8:00 PM

Our day ends as we leave Tartous and begin the drive back to Damascus, arriving by evening.
